Position: Quality Assurance Coordinator

Position Description

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for QA activities that support release of products. These activities include, but not limited to, quality alerts, deviation reports, corrective actions, investigations of nonconformance, and change control management, concerning materials and finished products. This position also serves as QA contact for internal departments like Supply chain, R&D/Product Development and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

Manage Quality Assurance programs for manufacturing operations related to animal feed production including, FDA-GMP compliance, HACCP implementation, documentation, complaint investigation, non-conformance investigation, and provide technical support related to Quality Assurance.

Develop and coordinate quality and safety policies for products and ingredients, ensure products and ingredients meet acceptable quality and safety standards, and meet customer’s requirements.

Work collaboratively with cross functional groups including Operations, R&D/Product Development, Sales, Supply Chain, Vendors and Customers.

Work closely with R&D and product development team from initiation to commercialization stage of a new product, ensure the final product meets specification and customer’s requirement.

Skills

Detail oriented with broad understanding of food safety, quality control and quality systems. Motivated to study and implement new local, state, and federal regulations as outlined by the Food and Drug Administration in their CFR and ensure company’s adherence to regulation.

Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum, Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering; Advanced degree preferred
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to make decisions and troubleshoot problems
  • Motivation to learn and ability to multi-task
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in either the food industry, an operations environment preferred
  • Preferred Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word (Intermediate and above), or similar software platforms

                                                                    

Position: Quality Assurance /Quality Control Associate

Department: Quality & Regulatory

Location: Wonewoc WI

Position Description

  • Follow up on Customer Complaints and investigations; find solutions to resolve issues and close complaints. Work closely with customer service and the technical expert in following and investigating complaints related to animal health. Prepare Investigation Reports for the complaints.
  • Maintain company’s Quality System manual and SQF Manual documentation. Implement FDA cGMP and the SQF standards, ensure regulatory compliance throughout the Company. Responsible for development, submission, maintenance, review, archiving and destruction of controlled documents.
  • Perform Quality audits of manufacturing areas, production procedures, and logs and records to ensure compliance to the established GMP & SQF and standards. Generate observations logs, audit reports, follow-up with corrective actions, and ensure implementation of the corrections made from the observations.
  • Compile and maintain audit reports generated from all audit areas. Compile continuous improvement report from all departments. Perform Management Review after each audit.
  • Monitor, investigate, report, and document all quality interventions and incidents including issuing Corrective/ Preventive Actions in response to non-conformances.
  • Complete customer specific quality paper audits/ questionnaires/ surveys/ annual product reviews/ investigation reports for non-conformances, etc.
  • Manage and maintain raw material and finished product lab test results
  • Understand Food/Feed regulations and implement GMP, HACCP & other Regulatory guidelines in quality and manufacturing related procedures.
  • Take the lead in customer specific audits, Certification audit, and regulatory inspections. Coordinate with production and Quality teams, and make sure manufacturing facility is always ready for any audit or inspection. Follow up on the audit/inspection outcomes and the corrective actions from observations. Maintain records of audit results and any corrective actions taken.
  • Understand State and Federal regulations compliances maintain files and folders on daily basis to be always ready for Regulatory inspections.

QA Manager

Quality Assurance Manager will ensure that products and ingredients meet quality and safety standards. This position will develop quality and safety policies and monitor continuous improvement of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory system, and customer’s requirements. Responsible for QA activities that directly support release of products to customers/market. These activities will include, but not limited to batch record review, review of change control, compliant documentation, and investigations, also serve as QA contact for R&D and Operations team. Bachelor’s degree I Science, or engineering with experience in food industry and Quality Assurance.

Injection Molding Technician

Minimum of 3 years of experience in setting up, operating, and tending machines used for molding. The right candidate will have knowledge of quality control and production processes.

General Manufacturing

As a Manufacturing Associate you will report directly to the Production Manager and interface with other functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and R&D. This position values effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, production efficiency, and most importantly, an unwavering dedication quality. This position is responsible for performing production work at one of the Vets Plus locations in Menomonie, WI. In addition to starting, operating, tending, stopping, and cleaning machines, you may be asked to assemble finished product. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all sanitation, safety, and cGMP standards.
